It just wasn't our day: our Essendon 1st XI fell to Camberwell Magpies 1st XI on Saturday in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
We finished on 3/167, with Camberwell Magpies 1st XI on 5/170. Credit to James Wiseman, who made a half-century (57) for the visitors. Nicholas McGuane picked up two for 25 off four overs. There were also wickets for Liam Molloy (two for 31).
Harry Duke made a terrific 94 not out off 63 balls, a well-made fifty. Emerson White added a useful 35 off 26 balls.
The boys will be keen to bounce back.
