At Shepley Oval, our Essendon 1st XI got up against Dandenong 1st XI on Saturday.
Batting first, Dandenong 1st XI posted 9/128 from 20 overs. Joshua Slater was the top scorer for the hosts with 40. Nicholas McGuane led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 12. Liam Molloy backed up well, taking two for 24.
In reply, the boys reached the target at 4/132 in 19.1 overs. Muhammad Arsalan made a valuable 37 off 32 balls. Connor Poulton weighed in with 33 off 34 balls.
A well-deserved victory for the team. That has us tenth on the ladder.
