There were smiles all round after our Essendon 3rd XI secured a win against Prahran 3rd XI with a performance to be proud of.
Prahran 3rd XI set the target, making 5/242 from 45 overs. Nathan A Munasinghe made a fine 80 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Travis Jackson made 47 for the hosts. Jacob Pawlowicz led the way with the ball, finishing with four for 29.
In reply, the boys reached the target at 6/244 in 44 overs. Aidan Salvado made a brilliant 87 off 110 balls, a well-made fifty. Solid support came from Sean Phillips-Williams, who made 40. Liam McGain was the main threat for our opponents, taking four for 52.
A great result for the side.
