Despite a solid effort, our Essendon 4th XI were denied by Prahran 4th XI on a frustrating day.
The scorecard reads Essendon 4th XI 10/146, Prahran 4th XI 7/191. A classy 63 off 66 balls from Dilawar Ali was the highlight. Our opponents' Neil SCHLITTLER was the standout with the ball, taking five for 12. There were three for 23 for Sash Yuvaraj.
The visitors' best was a half-century from Alexander Pillay, who made 52. Muhammad Abdul Wasay was the pick of our bowlers with two for 30.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around.
Chins up, everyone.
