At University Main Oval, our Essendon 2nd XI fell to Melbourne University 2nd XI in Kookaburra Men's Premier.

Our totals were 10/135 and 5/159, against Melbourne University 2nd XI's 10/224. A classy 54 not out off 146 balls from Paul Wasiewicz was the highlight. Om Patel claimed three for 15 for the hosts. Our opponents also got three for 31 from James Browning.

Krit Darji was the pick of the bowlers, taking four for 39 off 8.2 overs. Navdeep Rai offered good support with two for 31. Credit to Janak Prakash, who made a century (118) for the hosts.

Plenty to take out of this one. The boys will be keen to turn things around after five straight losses. On to the next one.
