On the road, our Essendon 3rd XI overcame Camberwell Magpies 3rd XI on Saturday in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
We kept Camberwell Magpies 3rd XI to 2/122 from 20 overs. Credit to Charlie Grummitt, who made 44 for the hosts. Aaron Cornish starred with the ball, taking two for 10.
In reply, the team reached the target at 4/126 in 16.2 overs. Fifty for Vanshjot Sandhu, who finished with 66 off 38 balls. Zachary Beniwal was unbeaten on 42 off 43 balls. Christopher Gorman was the best of our opponents' bowlers, finishing with three for 30.
Big runs from our top order made the difference.
Two wins on the trot now for the boys. Great work, everyone.
