On Saturday, our Essendon 2nd XI got the better of Fitzroy Doncaster 2nd XI on the back of Liam Tobin's century.
Fitzroy Doncaster 2nd XI's innings ended at 7/267, ours at 10/295. Take a bow, Liam Tobin: a cracking 123 off 290 balls with thirteen fours. Ethan Brne's 58 off 121 balls was a half-century to remember. Five wickets for Kobe Smith of the visitors, who returned five for 58.
Noah Guida starred with the ball, taking three for 77. Hats off to Matthew Bremner, whose 110 was a polished century for our opponents.
It was an excellent all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
A day to enjoy for everyone at Essendon.
